Privacy
What HouseholdNotes collects, what it does not collect, and how the newsletter list and affiliate redirects handle your data.
Short version: this site is static, there are no third-party trackers, and the only personal data we ever hold is an email address you typed in yourself.
What we collect#
Nothing, by default. The site is a set of static files served from a CDN. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to.
Your email, if you subscribe. The newsletter form sends your address to our own server function, which stores it and sends you a confirmation email. You are not on the list until you click the link in that email. Every message has an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Affiliate redirects#
Clicking an affiliate link sends you through /go/… on our domain before forwarding you to the merchant. We do not log who clicked, and we strip the referrer so the merchant does not receive the page you came from.
The merchant's own privacy policy applies once you land on their site.
Server logs#
Our host keeps standard request logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL — for a short window for abuse prevention. We do not read them for analytics and we do not join them to anything.
Changes#
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
